Welcome, Agents of Shadow Glen!

We can’t wait to hear more about how your missions are going!

In Agent Bowe’s class, the Homelessness Team is organizing to collect donations for a local shelter.  The Disease Team is recruiting volunteers to organize a fundraiser to make care packages for sick children.

In Agent Brown’s class, The Donald Trump team is developing an infomercial stressing positivity and inclusion.  The Animal Cruelty Team is recruiting volunteers to help run a fundraiser to help a local humane animal shelter.

In Agent McCorkle’s class, a team focused on Racism is excited to make YouTube videos, Instagram posts, and letters to Donald Trump about stopping racism.  The team focused on Violence hopes to research who makes laws about gun control, and write letters to them about helping to stop gun violence.

In Agent Garcia’s class, another team dedicated to stopping Racism plans to talk to the counselor about creating a “No Place for Racism” club at Shadow Glen Elementary.  The team dedicated to stopping Abuse wants to make posters and organize a march to raise awareness about many different kinds of abuse.

Welcome, Agents of Perez Elementary!

What inspiring missions you’ve initiated!  Bravo!
In Agent Linnell’s class:
The Bullying Team has started a petition to gather support for having a ‘March for Kindness.’
The Too Short Recess Team has written a formal letter to request more recess time which, they argue, will improve their focus and ability to learn and collaborate during class.
In Agent Kenny’s class:
The Pollution Team aims to become organized and start a club to help their community. They’ve taken action already by creating posters to recruit more members.
The Racism Team plans to talk with the Counselor about organizing a ‘No Place For Hate March.’ They’ve already come up with catch phrases to inspire unity!
Keep in touch, and let us know how your missions go!

Congratulations, Austin Peace Academy Agents!

One year ago, we had the privilege of training yet another class of Courage in Action Agents at Austin Peace Academy.  When we visited to train a new unit this year, we were so thrilled when Agent Garcia told us that last year’s class has had some outstanding success!  They were very concerned that their school did not have a Physical Education Teacher. So, the Agents rallied, started a petition, and convinced the school to hire a PE Teacher!  Way to 1) Recognize a Problem and Imagine Solutions, 2) Assemble a Team and Make Plans, 3) Take Action, and 4) Evaluate Your Success and Try Again!  It appears your mission was extremely successful!  We hope you are now fully activated and using your knowledge as Agents to try using the Four Steps to becoming a courageous leader again and again and again!

And thank you for letting us know, Agent Garcia!

Welcome, Agents of Austin Peace Academy!

Welcome to the Courage in Action Agency, newest graduates from Austin Peace Academy!

We’re looking forward to hearing more about your missions!

The Global Warming Team started a petition to have city trash and recycling services at their school.

The Donald Trump Team is signing up volunteers to help organize an Equality, Safety, and Constructive Debate fundraiser to raise money for the Democratic presidential nominee.

Welcome Ridgetop Agents!

Welcome to the CIA, Agents!

Here’s what the new Ridgetop Agents in Agent Yanes’ class are planning:

The Global Warming Team intends to organize daily practical pollution solutions on their campus. And on a national level, they are researching youth organizations who are taking action against governments who have ignored the causes and effects of climate change.

The Child Abuse Team believes they can make a difference in young victims’ lives by spending quality, fun time with them. They intend to research organizations and put together a field trip to volunteer.

Amazing work, Widen Agents!

Agents of Widen, we are so proud of you!

Agent 89 just radioed in with the news that you put on a dance show to raise money for a teacher in need, and you raised $2,000!  That’s incredible!

We knew you were amazing, extremely courageous young people even before we met you, and we only hope that your Courage in Action training helped you to Step One: Recognize a Problem and Imagine Solutions, Step Two: Assemble a Team and Make Plans, Step Three: Take Action, Step Four: Evaluate Success and Try Again, and most importantly, Lead Courageously!
